Accomplishments

  1. Level Up Turn accomplishments into a game-style achievement list Oct 2026

Ship the gamified accomplishments section on my site

My portfolio now shows my accomplishments as a game-style achievement list, each with its own pixel-art icon, a playful name and a plain summary, and goals show as locked until they're done. It makes the section quicker to scan and more fun to read, with the full list on its own paginated page.

  2. Command Post Manage accomplishments from the terminal Oct 2026

Built a command-line tool so AI assistants can manage my accomplishments

Claude Code can now list, add, update and remove my career accomplishments straight from the terminal, so it works even in setups that don't allow custom AI connectors. I built a small command-line tool with GitHub sign-in and one-step installs from GitHub Releases, backed by the same secured service the site already uses.

  3. Bedrock Designed a data lake keeping raw data Oct 2026

Designed a layered data lake with an untouched raw layer

Proposed a data lake design that keeps every incoming record exactly as received, sets aside bad data for review, and can rebuild downstream tables from the raw copy. This makes data problems fixable without re-requesting data from source systems. (Currently a draft in review.)

  4. Good Fences Kept AI assistants inside a safe sandbox Oct 2026

Built a guardrail that keeps AI coding assistants inside a safe sandbox

AI coding assistants working on our data platform are now blocked from touching anything outside an approved test workspace, so teammates can use them with less risk to real data. I built it as a hook that checks every tool action before it runs.

  5. Helping Hand Mentored a teammate through governance-as-code changes Sep 2026 – Oct 2026

Mentored a teammate through governance-as-code delivery

I reviewed a teammate's series of changes that put the platform's governance setup under version control, with automatic drift detection and removal of unwanted access on merge. Through hands-on reviews I helped them ship safe, reviewable infrastructure changes.

  6. Gatekeeper Access checks now run every weekday Oct 2026

Automated access governance for a cloud data platform

Who can see what on our company's data platform is now checked automatically every weekday against the documented access model, and a quarterly access review opens itself with the evidence attached. This replaces manual spot checks and gives auditors a clear trail; it's built with infrastructure-as-code and scheduled automation.

  7. Long Reach Steers AI coding sessions from any device Oct 2026

Set up remote AI-assisted development with Claude Code

I now run my development sessions with Claude Code's remote control, so I can follow and steer work in progress from another device without being at my desk. It has made working across my personal projects seamless and keeps the latest AI tooling at hand.

  8. By the Book Every change now starts from a spec Oct 2026

Adopted an AI-native, spec-driven development process for my personal projects

My personal projects now start from a written intent, spec and plan, so every change has clear goals and acceptance checks that an AI coding assistant builds and verifies against. I set it up with reusable Claude Code skills and an independent verification step that tries to break each change before it's marked done.

  9. Pixel Pusher Built an editor for the site's artwork Oct 2026

Built a browser-based pixel-art editor and rendering engine for my site's artwork

I can now create and edit the isometric artwork on my site in a browser-based editor, arranging scenes and drawing objects frame by frame instead of hand-editing graphics files. It runs on a small rendering engine I built, with automated browser tests that check the art renders exactly as saved and a perfect Lighthouse accessibility score.

  10. New Digs Moved the site and blog to Astro Oct 2026

Moved my personal site and blog to a modern, faster setup

My personal site and blog now run on Astro with automatic publishing on every change, so updates go live without manual steps and every existing page and link still works. I rebuilt the layouts, styles and posts on the new setup with the help of AI, safely migrating everything through thorough page by page checks against the old site.

  11. Self-Starter Accomplishments now publish to the site automatically Oct 2026

Built a pipeline that automatically publishes my career accomplishments to my portfolio

My portfolio site, recently moved to Astro, now updates itself: I can ask an AI assistant to add or remove a career accomplishment, and it appears on the site without any manual editing. Behind it is a small Cloudflare service, locked to my GitHub account, that saves each accomplishment as a public record on the AT Protocol (the open network behind Bluesky) and then triggers the site to rebuild.
