  1. Ironworks Latest Rebuilt the engine in Rust, shipped releases Oct 2026

Rewrote Pixel Lab's art engine in Rust, with tagged releases and a developer docs site

Pixel Lab now ships as one fast program that the Mac app, the command line and AI tools all share, and my site simply takes the finished, self-contained pictures instead of running the engine itself. I ported the engine from Node.js to Rust, checked its output matches the old one exactly, and set up releases that build, test and publish on every version tag, plus a developer docs site.

  2. Second Brush Claude helps edit art inside the app Oct 2026

Built Claude into Pixel Lab, so an AI assistant can help draw and edit the art alongside me

I can now ask Claude for changes to my pixel art from a chat inside Pixel Lab, with whatever I've selected passed along as context, and watch each edit appear on the canvas as it happens. Every change Claude makes is recorded in the document's history under its name so any of it can be undone; underneath, the app offers all its editing commands to AI assistants through MCP.

  3. Home Studio My own Mac app for pixel art Oct 2026

Built Pixel Lab, a native Mac app for drawing and arranging my site's isometric pixel art

My site's pixel art now has its own Mac app, Pixel Lab, in place of the old browser editor: I draw objects frame by frame, build scenes from reusable object libraries in named layers, and every edit saves itself, with a version history to step back through. It's built in SwiftUI, and the art it publishes goes straight into the site with no extra steps.

  4. Practice Field A sandbox client for safe training Oct 2026

Set up a sandbox client with sample data as a training ground for a data team

The data team now has a safe practice client, loaded with Microsoft's fictional Northwind sample data, where people can learn the platform and try changes without touching any real client's data. It's set up exactly like a real client, and its data loads automatically into the development, test and production environments.

  5. Front Desk Client requests now file themselves Oct 2026

Automated how client requests become tracked, reviewable work on a data platform

Teams can now ask for a new client, a new data source or a fix by filling in a simple form, and the request turns itself into a tracked work record and a change ready for review, with its status kept up to date for the requester. I built it with GitHub issue forms and GitHub Actions workflows that write, check and link each request.

  6. Trophy Case Made my achievements list more game-like Oct 2026

Redesigned my site's achievements list with framed, color-coded icons and an "Achievement unlocked!" pop-up

My portfolio's career highlights now read like a game's achievement list: each one sits in a colored frame by kind of work, the list shows how many are earned and locked, and the newest one greets visitors with an "Achievement unlocked!" pop-up. I also redrew every icon to match the site's isometric pixel-art world, and moved the list to a new address without breaking the old links.

  7. Night Owl Added a dark theme to my site Oct 2026

Added a dark theme to my portfolio site, with a button to choose Auto, Light or Dark

My portfolio and blog now come in a dark theme that follows each visitor's system setting by default, or can be set to light or dark with a button in the navigation bar, and the page never flashes light before switching. Every text color was checked for readable contrast in both themes, with automated tests that keep the two in step.

  8. Grand Entrance Island builds itself as the page loads Oct 2026

Made my site's pixel-art island build itself on page load, with a lab to try and tune the animation

The pixel-art island on my portfolio's home page now builds itself as the page loads: the ground sweeps in cube by cube and each house, tree and truck drops into place, while visitors who prefer reduced motion see it complete at once. I built a hidden lab page for trying different orders, moves and timings live, so choosing the final animation became a matter of picking it rather than recoding it.

  9. Rulebook Wrote delivery rules and checking tools Oct 2026

Set up a software delivery policy for compliance, with tooling to apply and monitor it

Software work now follows a written policy that ties every change back to a requirement and a test, so compliance questions can be answered from the project itself instead of from memory. I defined the policy, the progress indicators and the project layout, and built the Claude Code skills and panels that apply it and show where a project stands.

  10. Manual First Wrote the manual, then built the tool Oct 2026

Designed and built one command-line tool for the whole software delivery process, documentation first

People, AI assistants and automated checks now run the delivery process's core steps through a single command instead of several separate scripts, so the rules live in one place. I wrote the full user manual and had it reviewed before writing any code, then built the tool to match it and tested it side by side against the scripts it replaces.

  11. Lookout A Mac app that reads project health Oct 2026

Built a native Mac app that shows a software project's compliance and delivery status

Teams can open any project folder and see at a glance how it stands against the company's software delivery rules, from requirements to release readiness, with no separate dashboard to maintain. I built it as a native macOS app in SwiftUI, and checked that it reaches the same answers as the existing team tooling on a real project.

  12. Notice Board Team to-dos and roles inside Claude Code Oct 2026

Built Claude Code panels that show teammates their work queue and each role's access

Teammates on our data platform can now see their assigned issues, priorities and linked pull requests, and what each role may do on each system, without leaving their AI coding assistant. I built both as Claude Code panels that read straight from GitHub and the team's own role pages, so they never drift from the source of truth.
